Roar Offshore Fort Myers Beach Powerboat Races is the final stop of the APBA (American Power Boat Association) National Championship series. Roar Offshore will once again be the Championship Race for 2021, crowning Offshore Champions in 14 classes. In 2019 the inaugural Roar Offshore had 68 race teams compete from around the world, the largest boat count seen in almost two decades. This produced hugely positive results for both the sport of powerboat racing and the impact that Roar Offshore had on the local economy.

The Roar Offshore volunteer crew are the feet on the street for the races. Without the Roar Offshore volunteers sanctioned powerboat racing would not take place on Fort Myers Beach. Roar Offshore promises to improve each year because of the volunteer efforts of over 200 community members, civic organizations, and church organizations who donate hundreds of hours to the event.

THERE ARE LOTS OF AREAS TO VOLUNTEER!

Most of our volunteer positions will be in the pit area, but if you prefer there will be a few in other areas. By volunteering you will help support deserving organizations that foster the protection of our water and marine life and encourage the recreational use of our water resources. If you enjoy working in a group environment, and are committed, we have many volunteer opportunities available.
